Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery

Read Description

The Holler: 903 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738, (865) 436-6995
Ole Smoky’s roots can be traced back, over 100 years ago, to the early settlers of the Smoky Mountains. Which means this isn’t just moonshine, it’s moonshine made with authenticity and enduring pride of the people in the Tennessee Mountains. In 2009, Tennessee law changed, and it was legal to make, distill and sell the infamous bootlegger’s hooch. It was at that point that a group of families decided to bring their artistry of superior moonshine making to the world at large. July 6, 2010 was the grand opening of Ole Smoky’s original moonshine distillery, the Holler, in Gatlinburg, TN. Ole Smoky became Tennessee’s first legal moonshine distillery as well as the most visited distillery in the world with over 2.5 million visitors annually.

The Barn: 131 The Island Drive, Pigeon Forge TN 37863, (865) 436-6995
Ole Smoky continued to grow through the years and with this success the company built a second distillery in Pigeon Forge, called the Barn. This location was created for visitors who couldn’t make it “up the hill” to Gatlinburg when visiting the world-class theme park, Dollywood. The Barn opened in October 2014, and features the same elements (distillery, tasting bar, retail store) as the Holler.

The Barrelhouse: 650 Parkway, Gatlinburg TN 37738, (865) 436-6995
In January 2016, Ole Smoky decided to introduce a whiskey line to their spirits portfolio when it merged their brand with another family-owned Tennessee whiskey. Ole Smoky whiskey is hand picked from barrels based on taste and color ensuring that the highest quality whiskey is produced. The grand opening of the new Ole Smoky whiskey distillery, the Barrelhouse, was held in February 2016. Today, Ole Smoky whiskey is exclusively available in Tennessee, Colorado, and Georgia.
